I have been working in the financial industry since 2000. I work with generations of clients in a holistic way, factoring in their short term as well as their long term needs. I am licensed with several life insurance companies and specialize in segregated investment funds. These investments are especially attractive for my older clients who are interested in estate planning due to Maturity and Death Benefit Guarantees and possible bypassing of probate.
I am passionate about Responsible Investments; it is so gratifying for me to work with clients who share my passion to take steps to make the world a better place for themselves and for future generations. Responsible investments apply negative screens as well as positive screens using shareholder advocacy to promote positive environmental, social or governance changes.
Segregated funds are offered by Financial Horizons Group, my Managing General Agency, Commissions, trailing commissions, management fees and expenses all may be associated with segregated investments. Please review the Information Folder before investing.

I believe that successful investing is more than just a numbers game. As a leader in both the non-profit and business sectors, I have learnt that building and growing a sustainable enterprise requires the integration of financial & economic considerations with environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
My investment career began over 25 years ago after a diverse background of farming, forestry and soldiering. I have worked with boutique investment dealers, a major Canadian bank owned dealer and a Global Investment Bank. I am currently a Managing Director & Portfolio Manager of a multi-family office and Investment Counsel. Previously I have served as a branch manager and associate director responsible for teams of advisors which added to my broad career experience and skills. Nevertheless, the well-being of my clients is, and always will be, my primary focus.
All of my clients benefit from a systematic process that allows me to assess their needs and build a plan that will guide them to their goals. In doing this I take into account their personal values that may affect their investment choices. The investment process is no less rigorous and integrates financial analysis with ESG considerations.
I hold the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designations from the Canadian Securities Institute. I have also earned the Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS) and Responsible Investment Advisor Certification (RIAC) from the Responsible Investment Association and PRI Academy.

I have over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba along with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations.

I was a proud volunteer for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics serving as the timer for the Figure Skating events. This role arose from a 25-year volunteer career in Figure Skating as an internationally ranked judge. In my community, I am currently a citizen member of the District of West Vancouver finance committed and a board member on the West Vancouver Community Centres Society. I am involved in volunteer activities at the school our children attend and the sports that they play.
One of the accomplishments in my life that I am most proud of is training and running a marathon in the year that I turned 50. I have always been athletic but never a runner (I am still not a runner) but was able to make a few lifestyle choices and learned how to make this happen! I am proud finisher of the New York Marathon and a few half marathons and 10K’s since then!
